Due to society's progressive use of technology, online therapy, i-therapy or e-therapy is an increasingly popular form of therapy. It can be as effective as face-to-face therapy.

There are many reasons why you might choose online therapy.

- You may live in a remote area and find it hard to access face-to-face counselling or psychotherapy.

- You may live in a location where the cost of private therapy is unaffordable, and the waiting list for therapy on the NHS is long.

- You may have a physical disability or mobility issues which makes travelling difficult.

- You may feel especially nervous about meeting someone face-to-face and would prefer the sense of anonymity online therapy can provide.
